Appointments

Patients have the choice of booking a face to face, telephone or video consultation.  All patients can also use our online consultation tool available through our home page.

We currently open GP appointments daily at 8am and 1.30pm.  Appointments can be booked in advance if requested by a GP or if patients use our online consultation tool (PATCHS).  The GP will review your completed consultation form and advise on the appropriate clinic and a time frame for your appointment.

We offer a wide range of clinics and services.  Our reception team will be able to navigate you to the correct appointment for your needs.

Our online appointment GP booking system has been disbaled for GP/Pharmacist appointments to ensure that patients are navigated to the correct clinican/service to avoid innapropriate bookings.  This also allows the Practice to screen for Covid symptoms to avoid the spread of infection.  Some appointmetns with the nurses are available to book online.  If you are unsure of the type of appointment you need, please contact the surgery prior to booking an appointment.  Blood test appointments are only for patients who have been advised by a clinician to have a blood test.

It is important that you contact the surgery or call 999  if you have any of the following conditions: Chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of conciousness or symptoms of a stroke. Please do not use the on-line facility to book an appointment, seek medical advice immediately if you have any of the above symptoms.

You can cancel appointments with the Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistmant via the on line service

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.

Home Visits are available for those patients who are too ill or infirm to attend the surgery. Please telephone before 10.30am. You will be asked for details of your problem to assist the prioritisation of the visiting lists.

Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

Please note that you are now able to cancel appointments when the surgery is closed by leaving details on our email. our address is riverside.mc@nhs.net. please leave your details and the date and time of the appointment you wish to cancel.  You can also cancel your appointments if you are registered for online access.
