docandchildWe now provide same day sit & wait session on Monday to Friday, opening at 8am daily.  The receptionist will allocate you a time to return to the surgery to be seen. Unlike the previous sit and wait arrangements in which patients remained in the surgery to be seen.   You are now able to book into the sit and wait over the telephone. We prioritise anyone with a condition which requires urgent attention (please advise the reception staff when you book in and they will alert the GP)

Once the sit and wait clinic has reached capacity, the list will be closed.  Anything urgent will be directed to our Duty Doctor for telephone triage.

Appointments can be booked in person, by using our on-line booking service or by telephoning the surgery. 

You can book face to face consultations or request a telephone appointment if appropriate

If we are unable to offer you an appointment, we will endeavour to provide an assessment of your symptoms by our Duty GP to ensure you are given an appropriate appointment or advice.

We also have a facility which allows you to book and cancel appointments online. You will need to contact the surgery to register for this service.

Please note that at the moment, only GP and appointments for Cervical Cytology (Smears) appointments are available to book on line. Our other Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants appointments are not available via this system due to the many different types and time slots needed for their consultations.

It is important that you contact the surgery or call 999  if you have any of the following conditions: Chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of conciousness or symptoms of a stroke. Please do not use the on-line facility to book an appointment, seek medical advice immediately if you have any of the above symptoms.

You can cancel appointments with the Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistmant via the on line service

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.

Home Visits are available for those patients who are too ill or infirm to attend the surgery. Please telephone before 10.30am. You will be asked for details of your problem to assist the prioritisation of the visiting lists.

Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

Please note that you are now able to cancel appointments when the surgery is closed by leaving details on our email. our address is please leave your details and the date and time of the appointment you wish to cancel.
